14—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, January 20,1968 Kent Fritz Has Com Yield Of 245 Bushels HARRISBURG For the first time in the 20-year history of the Pennsylvania One-Acre Corn Contest, four young per sons produced yields of over 200 bushels of shelled corn per acre. Champions for 1967 were an nounced Tuesday night, during the annual corn growers ban quet at the State Farm Show. Kent Fritz, of Warwick High School, Lancaster County, had the highest yield of all cham pions with 245 bushels of shell ed corn per acre in maturity group 3 for growers of medium to full-season hybrids.
