sifted the problems of odor
and flies from poultry farms
that wind up in the center or
on -the fringes of new housing

The discussion fired the open
ing gun on three days of edu
cational sessions, displays and
competition at the annual ex
position. and convention of the
Northeastern Poultry Produc
ers Council (NEPPCO) in the
Farm 'Show Building here.

Bureau Federation, will be the
'speaker for the Lancaster
County Fai mers’ Association
Annual Meeting, which will be
held m Lancaster Tuesday,
Oct 17, at the Holiday Inn, ac
cording to an announcement
made by Noah Wenger, Asso
ciation president
Each year the Lancaster
Farmers’ Association meets to
discuss local policy and make
policy suggestions to the Penn
sylvania Farmers’ Association,
an affiliate of the American
Farm Bureau Federation The
Lancaster organization has 1,-
030 family memberships in the
local unit.
President Shuman became
president of the American
Farm Bureau, the largest gen
eral farm organization in the
world, in December 1954, and.
has been re-elected president
for six additional two-year
terms.
He is a stock and grain farm
er and lives near Sullivan, Il
linois, where he (began his
work in the Farm Bureau or
ganization. Shuman actively
with his three sons
