The Committee is headed by Dean M. Clute, of Swift £ Company, Chicago. At its initial meeting, the Committee reiterated indus try opposition t 0 federal re strictions on hide exports, pointing out that current quotas on exports have cut back hide prices equivalent to $3 per head for 1,200 pound native steers. The U. S. Department of Commerce has under advise ment requests from livestock and meat organizations asking that the export restrictions ,be withdrawn WMnWAV POWER CHORIMO use, Fred G.
