After freshening, the udders are washed and checked to see that there is an available milk supply for the lamlb. Ed makes a special effort to see that each of his new lambs is getting milk the first few days. During the nursing period the ewe is fed one pound of grain 2 times a day and the best alfalfa hay available. The ewes are wormed two weeks after .lambing and again two months later.
