competition here Friday.
Zimmerman, the coun
ty’s largest grower, won
the champion turkey, best
female and beat display
awards.
The champion and best
female honors went on a
heavy young bronze hen.
Gantt Turkey Farm,
Newport, Perry County,
exhibited the reserve
champion and best male
turkey, a heavy young
bronze tom.
Wins Two Classes
Zimmerman won two
turkey classes. His entries
took the top four places in
the heavy young bronze
hen category, and first and
second honors in the heavy
