At Thursday’s sale a total 0 { 73,600 broilers in 12 lots changed hands at prices rang ing 16.2 t 0 16-4 * or a sale average of 16.24. The high lot W afl 5,000 White Vantress at 9 weeks two days consigned 'j>y Raymond Zimmerman and purchased by Carl B. Risser. ' Seven lots of leghorn fowl containing 16,850 head sold from 8.1 to 9.3. Only two lots failed to sell; these were 900 White Vantress cockerels at 12 weeks 6 days bid to 17.2, and 5,650 White Vantress cross pullets at 13 weeks 6 days bid to 15.8. The complete sale offered 97,000 birds in 21 lots and sold 90,450 birds in 19 lots. The Delm'arva broiler-feed ratio for the week ending Oc tober 2'5 was up two points from the previous week at 3.3. Broilers during the week av eraged 16.61 per pound and mash cost the grower $101.23 per ton.
