Myer, a 1962 graduate of the Elizabethtown Area High School has been named Star Farmer of Region II by the State Association of Future Farmers of America. In recognition of his out standing achievement as a farm boy and student at the school, the IS year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel N Myer, Elizabethtown R 3, will receive the award during the annual convention of the state associa tion January 9 in conjunction with the State Farm Show in Harrisburg. He was selected for the hon or from among all the Key stone Degree winners in the 12 county region. Because of its many educa tional aspects the 47th Penn sjlvania Farm Show, Jan. 7- 11. in Harrisburg, today was termed by State Agriculture Secretary W L. Henning as a~ five-day “short course” in ■general farming.
