LANCASTER POULTRY CENTER Price Highest Since March Broiler prices at -the Lan caster Poultry Center this •week averaged over 18 cents a pound for the first time since March 22. A total of 83,500 broilers in 18 lots were offered and sold at prices of 17.9 to 18.3 for a sale aver age of 18.02. Over three fourths of the sales were at 18 cents. Broilers last week averaged 17 49. A lot of 750 leghorn fowl brought 9.8 while three lots of heavy fowl ranged 17.4 to 18.3 for the 2,275 head. Three lots containing 2,425 pullets brought 24.9 to 25.1. Only one lot farled to sell; this was a lot of 1,150 sil ver cross pullets bid to 34 cents.
