LANCASTER POULTRY CENTER Broilers Off Quarter Cent Broiler prices slipped slight ly more than a quarter cent during the week at the Lan caster Poultry Center. Prices at the August 2 auction rang ed 16.6 to 17.5 for a sale aver age of 16.83 compared to the average of 17.18 last week. A total of 85,475 broilers in 19 lots were sold while only lot of 6,800 White Vantress at 8 weeks 2 days remained unsold at the bid of 16.0. One lot of 600 heavy fowl brought 17.2 while 5,700 head of leghorn fowl in five lots brought 9-3 to 9.6* Two lots containing 2,500 pullets sold at 23.6 and' 25 6, and three lots containing 2,000 roasters changed hands at '23.6 to 23.8. The 1 complete sale offered 103,360 head m 32 lots and sold 96,400 head m 30 lots. The only other lot not sell ing contained ISO White Mountains at 12 weeks six days and bid to 20 0.
