LANCASTER POULTRY CENTER Broilers Gain Half-Cent Broiler prices gained better than a half cent a pound during the week ending March Bth. Volume was down somewhat as 35,075 head in 13 lots Bold at prices of 18 5 to 20.5 for a sale aierage of 10 27 All broilers on offer were sold One lot of heavy fowl con taining 1,650 head failed to sell at the bid of 17.8, and two lots of 1,200 pullets were un sold at the bids of 23 3 and 24. A lot of pullets did sell a( the price of 24.2 per pound for the 1,600 head. One lot et iOO heavy fowl .sold at.,30 2. A total of 5.300 roasters in four Jots changed hands at 27 to 27 8. and one lot of 500 leghorn fowl brought 9.1.
