At Farm, prices reported during the 24 hour period ending at 10:30 Friday morning ranged from 16 to 16.70 for 490,700 head. Estimated slaughter for the week end in Delmarva is 668,000 head compared to the 452,000 head last week end. The De’marva broiler-feed ratio for the week ending on Oct. 7 climbed one point to 3.6. Broilers averaged 15 87 cents per pound and mash cost $87.75 per ton. This compares to the 3 9 ratio six months ago and 3 4 for the corresponding week a year ago. During the year-ago week broilers averaged 15 18 while mash cost $90.14 per ton.
