Ross Frey, Wallow Street Rl, left above, displays the ceramic cream jug he re ceived as a token of having exhibited the hi gh score milk at the 1959 Pennsylvania Farm Show Beside Frey is Richard Erb, son of Mr and Mrs NisS’ey Erb, Manheim R 2, hold ing the $25 savings bond he won by having the Irghest score in dairy judging at the Lampeter Fair in September. Erb, a Junior at Manheim Central High School made a 271 score out of a possible 300. Third from left is Roy Brenneman, son of Mr. and Mrs. John A Brenneman, Willow Street Rl, who had received a Guernsey calf from the herd of Harry Mumma, Manheim R 3, during the Lampeter Fair. Brenneman won the calf on the basis of his program as presented on a written application Raymond Witmer, right, Willow Street Rl dairyman and State Director of the Guernsey Breeders Association holds the model cow presented to him and Mrs Witmer to signify the highest herd aver age in the Red Rose Dairy Herd Improvement Association in 1958-59 The Witmers had an average of 44 7 cows producing an average of 10,912 pounds of milk and 558 pounds of fat In other business the association elected Henry Brenneman, Strasburg RU Paul Ank rum, Peach Bottom: and Andrew Burkins, Drumore as directors for the 1960 term.
