Quality of the slaughter ste ers, was average with most loads and lots grading aver age good to average choice. Receipts will totaL about- the same at last week’s 3873 he ad 1 count. Compared with last week’s close slaughter steers were mostly 50 lower although some sales on steers grading below average good, were st eady. Cows closed 25 lower. Bulls sold about steady. Stock ers and feeders moved at st eady rates. Bulk of choice slaughter steers brought 29.50- 32.25, a few loads 1074-1125 lb. high choice with a prime end ste ers sold for 33-33.50. Good to low choice made 26.75-29.50. Few lots good and choice heifers sold; at 26.-28.50. Util ity and Coml. bulls ranged from. 23-26, and good grade fed bulls brought 25.75-27.50 Cutter and utility cows com manded 18-22.25, and coml. cows sold up to 23.25; while canners and cutters made 16.25-18. 1 Good and choice 800-1050 lb. feeder steers ranged from 28 i 30.50, and medium anc' good sold at 27-28.25, good and choice 550-800 lb. stock steers made 30-36.50, and me drum and-good made 28-30.50 Good' grade stock calves sold f 0& 32^37. Trading for vealers this week was active and prices held-; steady for- about 575 head. Lest week receipts to taled, about 703 head.
