Dunne of Pennsylvania State University, ,has been acclaimed in na ti< nwide book reviews. Featuring 53 chapters v ritten by 48 authorities on swine problems, Diseases of Swine has been termed “a long-needed addition to vet erinary literature”. Only one other modern publica tion is available in the field, a limited brochure. Drive Starts HARRISBURG, April 1 The State Department of Ag riculture today announced plans for a State Dog Law enforcement campaign desig ned to license all dogs with homes. The campaign will begin April 6 in Franklin County and then will shift to Bea ver and Washington Counties the next week. Dog law en forcement agents from sur rounding counties will assist local agents Agents will check county treasurers records to verify dog license purchases in the counties. Erie County will be check ed starting May 11 and Dela ware County later in May. Pennsylvania’s 38-year-old dog law is designed to limit the number of dogs running at large At the same time the licensing of dogs assures the owner that the dog will be detained and the owner notified in the event a dog should inadvertently escape or stray from home.
