The excep tion was in New England where slight declines were reported. In most instances trend upward was lower than a year ago. Demand was mostly fair except around Atlanta where improvement was reported. Offerings were ample, al though lighter surpluses were being diverted into manufacturing channels. The wholesale selling price in New York per 40 qt. unit held unchanged at $5 55. Fluid Cream offerings were irregular ranging from ample to just adequate. In the N.E. Pa. area insufficient offerings of Pa. & N. Jersey approved were .readily sup plemented by outside purch ases Bottling demand was fair.
