Interest Rates On FHA Loans Jump To 4°/o Washington, Dec 22 The USDA has announced a new hike in interest rates for insured farm loans, effec tive immediately The in crease is to be from 3 >/> per cent interest with a one per cent service charge to four per cent interest with the one per cent service charge, which means insured farm loans will cost farmers five per cent of the amount bor rowed The USDA’s spokesman, Kermit H Hensen of the Farmers Home Administra tion, states the change was required by recent mone> market developments mak ing 3ta per cent paper unac ceptable to national lenders and to many banks and oth er local lenders.
