Egg-to-Chxck Show won two
firsts out of only two Bur
ling entries.
We have won firsts at
this show almost without a
break, and hold two Grand

Since incubation and se

high quality the kind we

[follows:
Egg Quality Score .. 89 25
Hatchab lity Score . 88.3

Old Hen Eggs Used
The eggs which we used
for this competition were
old-hen eggs, which do not
score as h’gh in quality as
pullet eggs. We have always
used old-hen eggs for this
show, which makes these
winnings all the more sig
nificant.

VISITORS TO last week’s Keystone National saw in this sprawling section of the
exposition’s exhibits the largest grouping of blooded sheep ever gathered for an eastern
show. Nationally the Exposition Sheep Show ranks in second place For the first time
m an eastern contest, the USDA developed, “Columbia” breed was entered. One of the
all-time major Southdown breed competitions was included, in the 1958 Official South
down Show. Small wonder the judging area in the center of this sea of pens above was
seldom idle —LF PHOTO
