Benson Appoints Committee To Study Conservation Facilities Seietary of Agriculture Ezia Taft Benson announced the ap pointment of a working group <o study facility needs tor soil and water conservation research. The study is being made at the request of the Senate Committee on Agn cultural Appropriations. Members of the working group are- G. M. Browning of lowa State College, representing the State Agricultural Experiment Gerald E. Ryerson of the Soil Con servation Service, and Dr. Cecil H. Wadleigh and Di. Darnell M Whitt of the Agricultural Re search Service. Secretary Benson directed the working group to focus its atten tion on problems of national and regional importance, leaving fo r the attention of the states prob lems having only state or local significance.
