Sept 25 Only 11 lots, with 41,450 In oilers, sold on the Lancaster Poultry Ex change in this week’s trading, as average puce paid climbed to 16 90, after last week’s record low Seven lots with 6,075 capettes biought a puce range ot 18 to 24 5, and one lot of 170 Leghorn fowls brought 10 5 Twenty six lots weie listed, one chopped and another was added to place 74,070 birds before the bu>ers Nineteen lots with 47.245 buds were sold This compares with 27 lots offered a year ago, with 80,200 birds; and 23 lots selling with 70,975 birds. This included 20 lots of broilers, with 69250 birds, averaging 18 9 Despite the eaily season fall ing off m broiler puces this year, Lancaster Poultry Exchange over the rst eight months of 1958 maintained nearly a one cent-per-pound higher average than prices in the DELiIARVA i egion.
