The average was 22 75 cents. Two lots of heavy fowl, 600 head, brought 26Vt and 26Vi cents. Capettes remained at a high level with the range being from 29‘i to 37 cents. A total of 12,250 head were sold m 10 lots. James Auker got the high price paid for 4,500 White Van* tress broilers The buyer was Daniel K Good, Columbia. Good also bought the highest priced lot of capettes. He paid N Parke Miller 37 cents a pound for 700 White Vantress capettes that were 13 weeks, two days old. A year ago 113,100 broilers were sold for an avearge of 21.03 cents a pound. The (high price paid was 22M, cents and the low was 17 cents a pound.
