KimberCHlKi As of January 1, 1956, K-137 Kimberchiks led in early egg size in all three official random sample tests in which they were entered — California, Missouri, and Utah. Since large eggs are often worth 100% more than small, and 35- 50% more than medium, this char acteristic of the K-137 can make a great difference in income during the pullet tear. The K-137 is also noted for its good egg quality, both shell and interior. The high percentage of firm albumen results in more AA quality eggs. The K-137 has good lit ability... 93.4% to about 18 months in the three official tests in which they were entered last sear. \Xe insite you to compare the performance of this outstanding stock under your own manage ment. 16 Pfl 9® I Booklet Lfj FR tt Please ask lor this booklet describing fbe broad breeding ,uoe.\am conduct ed b\ Kstnher / arms hi and gsttftg more j n}t/rn,a*ion uooul she K-1 37, Longenecker’s Hatchery 1110 South Market St. Elizabethtown. To a greater degree than at present, these raw materials can be used in industry, there by broadening markets for our abundant farm products. New uses and new markets can be de veloped for our surplus crops. To bring this about, increased utilization research is needed and is proposed in the Budget Message This will be moving in the direction recommended by the president’s Commission on Increased Industrial Use of Agri cultural Products. In addition to the nine steps outlined here, the Congress should, as recommended in the Budget Message (a) extend the National Wool Act, (b) continue the special school milk program (c) broaden the sources of funds for Rural Electrification Admin istrabion, (d) require State par ticipation in programs to re lieve the effects of drought or other natural disaster, and (e) improve conservation accomplish to those practices which achieve ment by restricting cost-sharing longer lasting conservation bene fits J.
