Broilers Average 22.97 to Stay High
At Lancaster Exchange Thursday
LANCASTER A heavy sale
lor the second consecutive week
saw 170,545 broilers being sold
Thursday for an average price of
22.97 cents, about two-thirds of a
cent below the proceeding week
when the years high was hit at
the Lancaster Poultry Exchange
The price range was Irom 22 %
to 2414 cents
A lot of 1,350 capettes sold at
23 cents, two lots of Leghorn
fowl, 1,800 of them, sold for 12%
and 13% cents, and three lots,
2,775 birds, sold from 26V2 to
2714 cents

feeders accounted for the larger
number of cattle on sale this week
as increased numbers of steers of
southern origin, mainly from Vir
gina, were included in the ar
