Farm Employment Shows Seasonal Gain Farm employment showed a seasonal increase during the third week of February according to the Department of Agriculture. Family workers increased 149,- 000 to a total of 4,652,000 while hired workers increased 81,000 to a total of 981,000. Compared to a year earlier, however, there were 118,000 few er family workers and 21,000 few er hired workers.
