NEILL Singing to a capacity audience, the LanChester Chorus Sunday afternoon presented its annual Christmas Carol Service in the Christiana Fife Company audi torium. The traditional “0 Come, All Y* Faithful” provided the pro cessional, with Chorus members in white cottas carrying lighted tapers.. Rev. Warren H. Ba!l, pastor of Latta Memorial Pres byterian Church, Christiana, gave the invocation and the Rev. Donald L. Watson, Christiana Methodist Church, read the Christmas Story According to St. Luke. Joining the Chorus, the audi ence sang “Joy to the World." Opening selections by the Lan- Chester Chorus included Ring Out, Ye Bells' Sing Out Ye Voices; with a baritone solo, “Voices of the Sky,” featuring Pickering Reynolds of Quarry vil!e; The New Born King ar ranged by MacArthur; Lydia Scott, soprano, featured in Warn er’s Spruce Tree Carol; And the Trees Do Moan, arranged by Gaul, Bethlehem Night, by Warrel. Earl Pickel returned to the Chorus as featured soloist in, Adams’ well known “O Holy Night,” replacing Elizabeth Trostle, soprano, who was ill. Carol of the Bells opened the second sec tion, featuring the entire chorus. Two numbers were given by a male quartet and were well received by the audience, Nichols’ Christ- Child, and Sheppard’s Sing Noel!. Members of the quar tet were Dr. Mark Weaver, Strasburg; Jonathan Paul Jones, Honey Brook; Picker ing Reynolds and Charles Gochnauer, QuarryviUe. Three numbers comprised the next section, Mary’s Little Son by Demarest; No Candle Was There and No Fire by Lehman; and Caldwell’s Carol of the Lonely Shepherd. Joining the Chorus, the audi ence sang O Little Town of Bethlehem, and as a benediction, the LanChester Chorus sang Peace I Leave with You, ending with the traditional Silent Night.
