The regional office will serve the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware where Eastern States membership ex ceeds 51,000 farmers. Initially staffed by seven men, the office is a wing of the Eastern States Spring Garden plant opened less than a year ago at York. The objectives of the new of fice include 1 ' (1) provision of a staff of specialists who will live with and concentrate on the spe cial conditions of agriculture in the Middle Atlantic states, (2) lemforcament of the field repre sentatives in the three states, and (3) reduction of staff travel time between the home and heretofoie only office at West Springfield, Mass.
