Chit tenden, Executive Secretary, has announced Woods will receive his bache lor’s degree in Animal Husban dry from Pennsylvania State University in June, and will at that time assume his duties as field' representative for the as sociation. His employment with the Am erican Polled Hereford Associa tion which covers the 13 East ern and New England states and District of Columbia, bounded by and including Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia. Oxford Agricultural 4H Club Hears From New County Leader The third meeting of the Ox ford Agricultural 4H Club was June 5 at the Oxford Grange Hall Joe Way introduced Wal lace Cook, new county leader Mr Cook who has had nine years of club work, graduated from the University of Delaware this year In August the club will send a delegate to 4H Club Week at Pennsylvania State University. The club will vote on a delegate at the next meeting Mr Wav and Mr Cook showed a film on vegetables called “Grow Your Own ” It showed all phases of gardening planning the garden, planting, transplant ing, cultivating, weeding, control ling insects, ' watering, and har vesting The film was informative and everyone learned something The next meeting will be July 3, at the Oxford Grange Hall The program will be a film on pigs Herr, and Mildred Beckenstrater Alice Root, Janet and Jimmy served delicious refrehments which ended the meeting Tobacco Transplanting Allan Esbenshade and his assistant, Clyde Heller, are ere shown removing tobacco plants from seedbeds lor ransplanting into the fields, a task which kept Lancaster Jounty farmers busy during recent weeks.
