Other items sold included a tobacco ladders and w(agon $34 and $6l, endless belt $4O, elec tric drill $35. HEROISM EXPENSIVE SALEM, Mass. It cost Henry C. Mac Neil, 23. $36.70 to be a hero Mac Neil swam 500 yards through cold, choppy wab ers to help Fred Page, 12, who was drifting out to sea in a row boat. Thoroughly chilled, Mac- Neil was held overnight at a hospital and spent another day at home resting up. The hospital bill amounted to $24.35 for room and board; $l2 for laboratory fees and 35 cents for a prescript tion. Mac Neil, who is married and has a small child, is a stu dent at Boston’s Wentworth In stitute.
