Crop growth was slow the pro ceeding week, including pastures which are greening to the extent that a few farmers are grazing cattle for a few hours a day. Ex cept in low areas, most fields in the central, southern and south eastern sections were diy enough for plowing. Rainfall Below Normal Rainfall last week averaged slightly below normal, the De oartment said In northern and mountainous areas snow ranged up to nine inches Temperatures were generally well below nor mal most of the week.
