HARRISBURG Following
the annual parade of more than
1,000 prize horses, beef and dairy
cattle m the large arena on the
last night of the 1956 State Farm
Show, the crowd of 10,000 was
thrilled with a sheep dog demon
stration and the appearance of a
six-horse hitch of Belgians.
The Belgian horses were owned
and driven by Edgar Messer
sm,idt, Lebanon County. The
wheel horse on the hitch was
“Alice Farceur,” winner of the
grand champion Belgian banner
at the 1956 show, a mare that
had (taken the title won four
times previously by her mother,
“Nora Farceur* 1 ”
