The ultimate objective of the review is to improve faculty, staff, and administrative relationships at the campus. .The unexpected hota on October 10 served as a reminder of last year’s harsh winter; and perhaps provided a warning of the long, cold winter to come. Last February 19, agnear-record fourteen inches of snow blanketed the Delaware Valley area and forced the closing of the Delaware County Campus. Several students, taculty, and staft members were inconvenienced when the term break was shortened to make up for cancelled. As a result the schedule for Winter Term 1980 will include twe extra snow emergencies. . .Although enrollment throughout the University increased this year, the number of students attending the Delaware County * Campus this Fall is down from last year. Leg Karate.at Mall Media, PA — The Shapero ° Karate Institute will demonstrate unusual techni- ques at Granite Run Mall Fri- day, November 7 at 7 pm. The Institute has received much national attention, hav- ing been the subject of televi- sion’s ‘‘Real People’ recently. Head instructor, Jonathan Shapero, holds a first-degree black belt in the art of Karate. ~ He will demonstrate board and cement breaking, self defense techniques and exercises and Karate forms. Also demonstrated will be the proper use of martial arts weapons. Admission to the demonstra- tion is free. Enrollment Up — Penn State Intercom Fall Term enrollment at the University totals 55,281 — a record for the second straight year, according to preliminary figures announced to the Trustees. The University Park (633, up 6.9 percent); Hazleton (1,128, up 9.5 percent); and York (1.016, up 6.4 percent). University Park’s 1980 enrollment showed an increase of 667 over 1979's total of 31,792.
