Aamodt, in his letter of resigna- tion stated, "the reasoning behind my decision is personal, therefore | shall not explain." However, the seven charges brought against him by 111008110 were not disclosed. "I'd rather not say," Filippello said when he was asked about the specific charges. He also said that the reason Aamodt resigned was to avoid embarrassment that might have arisen in disclosing the impeachment charges, which are being withdrawn. Vice President Larry Gal lone has accepted the duties of president of the student government, as is stipu- lated in the USA constitution. Jim Mcintyre, Educational Policy Commissioner said that the reason for Aamodt's downfall was ‘because of his relationship with (his girl friend) Mary, who kept him away from his work." "The reason Aamodt resigned was because, even if the impeachment trial went through, the executive board would have been divided,” Mcintyre’ sald. "lI think Norman's resignation was good," he said explaining that it was undermined by the conflict between: Norman Aamodt and Tony Filippello. Mcintyre felt that the student body should be informed and Tony Filippello should have made the charges public. But Mcintyre also refused to say what the charges were, stating that he was told to keep quiet about the charges and that he couldn't say who had told him to keep quiet. However, Mike Cenci, treasurer of the USA said some of the impeachment charges were: academic standing (members of the executive board must maintain a 2.0 average or better), other people were fulfilling the president's duties, and he falled to hold regular meetings for all the club presidents. ---=Donnel | Zeigler " Upcoming Concerts ~ Tower Theater April 21 -- Lou Reed 22 -- The Outlaws 23 -- Smokey Robinson 30 -- Robert Palmer Academy of Music April 23 == Art Garfunkel Bi jou Cafe April 17,18 -- Head East [9-22 -- Billy Eckstine 24,25 -- Herb Alpert & : Hugh Masekela 27-29 -- Earl Klugh Spectrum April 28,29 David Bowie LION'S EYE STAFF Alan Gasmer ...ceceeeves Editor Ed Wrzesniewski .......
