The COLLIZIAN STAFF is happy to annouce that they have received
many favorable comments concerning the fine appearance of "02 FLAG".
Although the flag waves because of the polar blasts, it radiates
the warmth of FREDOK that ALEPLIC2iIT PATRIOTIaE will not evict.
Beginning on IIOIIDAY the AKIOTC CAD :TS will take the respondsibilty
of raising and lowring "OL) FLAG", The CLD:TS who will do the honors
for the remainder of the semester are:

The SCHOOL of the LID:RAL ARTS' has adopted General Graduation
Requirements for all curricula, both changes of ective this semester.
In addition to the General Gr - duation Requirements there have been a
number of changes in majors and curricula*
GENERAL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
General requirements that have berm established for all students
the School mho are candidates for the degree of Dacholor of Arts are.
(1) Six credits in each of the following five fields:
(a) English composition; (b) history; (c) philosophy; and
(e) music or art *
Twelve credits in each of the following three fields:
(a) foreign language, ancient or modern; (b) science and
mathematics; (c) the social sciences *
Three credits in psychology
Four credits in Physcial Education for male and female
students; and six credits in courses for male student
Fifty-three credits in the major field (24-36) in elect
ives to bring the total up to 132 credits for men and 126
credits for women. (Six required credits in any field will be
counted towards the major.)
These required credits in the designated fields are to be completed
the following sequences'
(1)
Before the beginning of the third semester: six credits in
each of the following fields: (a) Enfjish composition (E. Cmp,
1 and 2 or 5); (b) history; (c) a foreign language. (18 credit
Before the beginning of the fifth semester: (a) six adCitional
credits in the same ancient or modern language, (b) six credit
in the social sciences, (c) three credits in philosophy (1),
and (d) twelve credits in a natural science or mathematics.
Total: 27 credits.
Before beginning the eighth semester: (a) six credits in
literature, (b) six additional credits in the social sciences
(c) six credits in art or rmsic, (d) three additional credits
in philosophy (phil. 2,3,) and (e) three credits in psycholog3
Total: 2 1 + credits.
