They hosted the M. L. Shaevel tournament at the High acres Fieldhouse on November 20 and 21. The Lions won their open er against Luzerne County Communit College, 95-72. In the tournament title game, the Lions lost to King's College JV, 80-60. In their most recent game, the Lions traveled to Keystone Junior Colleg and were handed a 98-80 loss. Former head coach, Tom Cacces, returns to the helm for the Lions this year. For the past three seasons, Mr. Tim Grazio coached the club on to victory. Coach Grazio lead the Hazletor Lions to the Commonwealth Campus Athletic Conference Championship game against New Kensington last season. But the Lions fell short, 87-74, in the title game. But Coach Caccese is hopeful this season. There are two return ers from last season, captain Jim Seamon and Brian Jackson. Another sophomore member of this year's squad is Jeff Bollinger. The new-comers to the team this year are Mike Ayres, John DeLeon, Keith Gardner, Pat McVerry, Jeff Milliker Mark Nicholas, Dave Reed, and Brian Uram.
