News Swim-a-cross raises $llOO Twenty-three area swim mers raised approximately $llOO.OO at the fourth annual Hazleton Red Cross Swim a-Cross, held Saturday, March 27, at the Campus Pool. Several campus students participated in the event along with local high school students and YM CA/YWCA swim team members. Participants in the event were given one hour to swim as many lengths of the pool as they could, with a maximum of one hundred lengths. Volunteers needed at Woman's Aid Center The Woman's Aid Center in Hazleton is in need of volunteers interested in sharing time and concern to help others. The center is an organiza tion for women of all ages in the Greater Hazleton Area, and it is designed to offer comprehensive service to meet the needs of women. SGA elections On April 14, the Student Government Association held its annual presidential elections. The contest was between Mike Moyer/Don na Spengler and Alan Smith/Dave Barchik. When the final results of the elec tion were returned to the candidates, and it was an nounced that Smith and Barchik won, Moyer ap proached Alita Rovito and Chris McNab, the executive council of SGA, and an nounced that the election was going to be contested. The grounds on which the election was contested was improper behavior on the part of a few SGA senators. On Monday, April 19, Dean Joseph McCallus, Chris McNab, and Alita Rovito met and discussed the possibility of a re election on Wednesday, April 21, while elections for ROBERT J.
