He also spoke of the current project involving improvements in the Commons area; a project that Horwith felt could be a joint campus activity. Horwith summarized his duties as president of the 1977-78 Student Union Board as, "to coordinate and organize the efforts and ideas of the entire S.U.B. and to have these ideas and efforts channeled into a certain activity." The Highacres Chorus will sing during benediction at the clo.se of the ceremony. continued on page 15 Clubs Unite to Make Spring Week A Success Student Govern ment, Highacres Club Advisory Council, and the Speleology Club combined efforts to sp onsor a series of e vents during the week of April 16, called "Spring Week." The week began with the first annual Road Rally, followed by a dance in back of the Residence Hall. A Walk-a-Thon was held on April 17, be ginning at the Harmon Geist Stadium. The proceeds of the walk were for the benefit of .the March of Dimes. The second annual Apathy Day was April 20. During the day, various activities took place. Students were given the opportun ity to release hostili ties by smashing a car with a large mallet. A dance to the sound of "Kicks" was held in the Commons at 8 P.M. with poor attendance by stu dents .
