Active in camous activi ties, especially those which are service oreint ed, she is presently the President of Theta Sigma Phi Service Soroity. "In my freshman year I was a member of the soro ity, in my sophomore year I served as Secre tary and temporary Pres ident due to the illness of the official pres- Collegian Personality Sue Cervasio By CATHY RUSINKO Collegian News Editor xdent, and in my junior year I was elcted Pres ident of the soroity," she said in talking a bout her affiliation with the sorority. Sue is also a member of the Student Union Board ser ving on the Arts and Cul ture Committee and a mem ber of the Highacics Club Advisory Coun cil. Presently residing in Lattimer with her fam ily, during her twenty years Sue Ann has lived two different lives. She lived in various sec tions of New York City until 1974, and attend ed elementary and second ary school there. Three years ago her family moved from New York to Lattimer and Sue enroll ed at Highacres. "I ap preciate both atmospheres. I enjoy the city but I enjoy this area, too," she commented while talk ing about both places. Sue hope to gradu 'ate from Penn State with a Bachelor of Science de gree in secondary his tory education, contin uing her education to earn a Master's of Arts Degree in secondary guidance. She was a stu dent teacher at Bishop Hafey High School to partially fulfill re quirements of her Edu cational Psychology Class. In her leisure time. Sue Ann enjoys reading, listening to music, and watching sports events, "especially football." In both academic and ex tra-curricular activi ties, one of her most outstanding characteris tics is her dedication and persistence. "I never give up," Sue said in talking about pursu- ing a goal. Reflecting on the three years she spent at Highacres, Sue Ann re marked "I enjoyed it im mensely, ALL of the people, the campus itself everything. In three years I've completely changed my outlook about myself and other people; my values have changed; I've done alot of grow- ing."
