    LOOKING AT THE LIGHTER SIDE
THE SUNDAY visitors had picked the
farmer’s fruit and his flowers, and their
car was full of plunder* Pointing to an
unexplored highway, they inquired of the
farmer* "Shall we take this road bock
to the city?"
rt You might as well,’’ replied the
farmer* "You’ve got almost everything
elsel"
ON THE OUTSKIRTS of an Oklahoma
town are six service stations in a row*
Posted in front of the first is a large
sign* "Last ohance to Buy Gas-*-the
Next Five Stations Are Mirages
THE TALKATIVE lady was telling her
husband about the bad manners of a
recent visitor* "If that woman yawned
once, Albert, while I was talking, she
yawned a dozen times!"
"Maybe she wasn’t yawning, dear,"
said the husband; "maybe she was trying
to say something,"
SHORT AND SWEET: ,
■ r Pity the teen-age singing stars•
Who, though they’re earning plenty
All too soon wake up to find ;
j They’re all washed up at twenty*
THE TROUBLE with people who get
carried away with their own abilities
is that they don’t get carried far
enough. •• "
NO ONE is completely useless* You
can always serve as a bad example*
■ WHAT a scarcity of news there, would
he if we all obeyed the Ten Commandments*
