Page Four Soccer Team In Review The Soccer team of Behrend Campus, led by Coach Herb Lauffer, Closed out the season last Saturday at Allegheny County Community College. The strong Allegheny team shut out the Cubs with 9 goals, .six of which were scored by a probable All-American, Vince Marsh. Tile Cubs dominated the play for the first 5-6 minutes of the game, when. Marsh set the ball rolling for Allegheny by scoring three consecutive goals. After that time Behrend was unable to get control of the bail. Allegheny had 28 goal attempts and 8 saves while Behrend only had 12 attempts and 14 saves. Recap Coach Lauffer's soccer team didn't finish up as well as he would have liked to but then no coach in any sport is satisfied with his team's record as long as there is a figure , in the loss column. Currick Brother hood Award in 1960. In 1958 an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws was conferred on him by Lawrence College.
