In the opening ten minutes Edin- bozo, using its speed and know-how jumped off to a 2-0 lead. defense tightened and kept Edinboro scoreless, for 3 quarters. second quarter Behrend center fullback Syl Pomerantz scored on a direct kick , :from mid-field making the score 2-1 at the half. took the field and preceded to score in 10 minutes of the third period. score came when Paul Vaughn crossed the oall to freshman Tom Albrecht who put the foot to it for his first goal of Llle day to tie the score. the same combination Paul Vaughn to Tom Albrecht scored Behrend's third and deciding goal. Special mention should go to the defense which kept Edinboro scoreless for three quarters. whin is hoped to start a winning streak that will carry throughout the whole season. Penn State won the opener in 1963, 17-14, but it has been all UCLA since.
