Throughout the year, an array an array of complaintshave been registered concerning the lack of identity Commonwealth students will have at University Park. After an active life in campus activities, they will become inte- grated with the nameless, faceless mass of human- ity that inhabits the main campus. Last weekend, however, this fear of anon- ymity proved to be not so true when Ron Batch- elor became next year's OSGA president. On May 17th and 18th, the OSGA Spring Con- ferenze was held at University Park. All pres- idents and vice presidents with their probable successors for the following year attended the conference. Their purpose was to elect a Pres- ident of the OSGA. On Friday, the meeting was open for nom- inations and Randy Kuny from Beaver Campus nom- inated Ron Batchelor for the important posi- tion. Following this, Ron Batchelor delivered a speech which outlined the platform he would follow if elected. Highlights of Batchelor's proposal included: One, More reconition of OSGA by USG; two, unity between the two governing bodies; three, more commonweath campus recognition and four, More commonwealth campus identity with Univer- sity The election results found Ron Batch- elor as the winner receiving thirteen of the 19 delegate votes. He was installed on Satur- day as President along with his vice-pres- ident and recording and corresponding secret- arias. /3A TCHE LOFr S A WINNER As president of the S.G.A. here at Behrend, Ron became aw . ure of problems that the students face, and he worked energetica- ly to eliminate them, but he knew that he couldn't finish the job here.
