Sports HOWL MCGREGOR: After last season's championship team, the Behrend Cubs will have to work hard for another success ful season. They plan to 6o just that. Leading the way is Howie McGregor, one of the two returning lettermen from last year's squad; the other is Bob Locke. Last year Howie was the only frosh on the first team, and started every game. For last season he shot for 47% from the floor and 57% from the free throw line, scoring 245 points for an average of 10.7 points per game, fifth highest on the team. Although handicapped by a healing broken nose, Coach Sweet ing feels that Howie is the best defensive player on the team. The members of this year's squad, thought enough of Howie's ability to vote him team captain. "The team made a good choice, a proper choice. Howie is capable of lead ing the team, and I feel our team will successful under his leader ship," commented Coach Sweeting. B. Locke As for this season, Howie feels, "We have 8 good, fast team and there's no reason why we can't take the state championship again this year." Let's hope Howie's right.
