POP eiDiattiliMazio:oo4l;4olllPAl All students who desire to be considered for scholarship awarded by The Pennsylvania State University must complete a scholarship application and must have their parents com plete a Parent's Confidential Financial Statement. These scholarships are awarded to superior students in the Colleges of Agriculture, Arts and Architecture, Business Adminstration, Earth and Mineral Sciences, Engineering, Human Development, Liberal Arts,. Physical Education, Science, the University Senate and the Undergraduate Student Govt.. All Students who wish to be considered for USG scholarships schould apply now because there will be no special USG applica tion time during the Spring Term. USG scholarships are awarded to needy students ' who have maintained a grade average of 2.5 ar better and have made important contributions through campus student activities. All scholarships vary widely in amount, and some are renewable for subsequent years. The scholarship awards will be available to recipients for the 1968-69 academic year. Those students who seek to qualify for the first time and those who seek to have their current scholarships renewed must reapply annually in order to provide the most recent information about their academic and financial circumstances. Students may obtain applications from Dean Lane, The Office of Student Affairs. Completed applications should be returned to this office. Completed Parent's Confidential Financial Statements must be forwarded to tie College Scholarship Service for analysis. Notification of award-- All scholarship award letters are mailed by the various com• mittees between May 1 and July 15. Any appli cant who does not receive a letter of award during this period should assume that he has not been selected for a scholarship.
