Many members of the Behrend
Center Engineers Club are apply
ing for associate membership in
the I. R. E. (Institute of Radio
Engineers). This will enable them
to see accounts of the latest
scientific developments immediate
ly after their discovery. The I.R-E.
scope includes industrial elec
tronics, radio transmitting, medi
cal electronics, and many other
related fields.
In discussing future trends, the
Behrend Engineers entertained
the possibility of holding a sci
ence demonstration in Erie Hall.
This would portray the science
and engineering facts of the or
ganization.
New Members in the club are
Bob Taylor and Max Cobb. Both
are E. T. students.
The Erie Hall sound system
has been completed by the Hi-Fi
contingent, and they are now
moving on to new projects.

A number of the Model Control
enthusiasts have completed trans
mitters with which they can dic
tate the maneauvers of their fav
orite models.
The Code Instruction table is
nearing completion. Soon the Ra
dio Operators group will be using
it for Morse code training.
Graphically speaking, Prof. Bair
is opening up a new horizon in the
mathematical solution of electrical
problems. Some of his students
say that this horizon has snowed
ever since its opening.
The first Trip To The Moon
may not be far away. It is report
ed that Mr. Gallagher did a
splendid job of repairing the
