New Men Around Campus By Lea Moses The Behrend Center students welcome six new students to the Behrend Campus. Earl Yeager comes from Erie and is a graduate of Cathedral Prep. TTis curriculum is mechanical en gineering. Boat racing, hunting, and cars are among his interests. Walt Parker is from Wesleyville and a graduate of Wesleyville High School. His interests include sports and popular music. He is entering the College of Business. Tom Guelcher hails from Erie and also graduated from Cathe dral Prep. He is studying archi tectural engineering and his in terests are sports and cars. Another Erieite, Don Heidt, was graduated from Academy. He is in the College of Arts andi Letters. His interests include sports, lan guage, and classical music. Jim Pendleton, another from Erie, graduated from Erie Tech. He enjoys golfing and swimming and is enrolled in mechanical en gineering. Not included in the picture is Hugo Francis. The Cub wishes you an enjoy able year at the center. More Tech Talks Many members of the Behrend Center Engineers Club are apply ing for associate membership in the I. R. E. (Institute of Radio Engineers). This will enable them to see accounts of the latest scientific developments immediate ly after their discovery. The I.R-E. scope includes industrial elec tronics, radio transmitting, medi cal electronics, and many other related fields. In discussing future trends, the Behrend Engineers entertained the possibility of holding a sci ence demonstration in Erie Hall. This would portray the science and engineering facts of the or ganization. New Members in the club are Bob Taylor and Max Cobb. Both are E. T. students.
