Entertainment By TOM KLEMICK STAFF WRITER GTI{.SOO2@PSU.EDU Last year was a pretty good year at the movies. "Avatar" shattered global box office records. "Up In the Air" has been declared a perfect film for our time. "The Hurt Locker" and "Inglorious Basterds" have made waves as well. But that's in the past. It's time to look to the future. Whether drama, comedy, action or animation is your thing, 2010 looks to have something at the movies for everyone. Here now for your consideration, 10 movies to look forward to this year. "Shutter Island" February 19 If you haven't seen the trailers for Martin Scorsese's newest film, then you've been living under a rock. It's the fourth pairing for Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio, and it looks to be another gem. Paramount pushed back the psychological thriller's release date because money for the awards season push simply wasn't in the budget. Not to worry. If "Shutter Island" is as good as it looks there's a chance we'll be hearing about it this time By VINCENT DANGOLOVICH COPY EDITOR VIXIDSOO6@rsu.EDu It's a rare college moment. You have a ride, time to eat and, miracle of miracles, a few dollars to spend. Perhaps the cash was in a pair of pants from last winter. Maybe you won that Super Bowl bet. Then there is always the chance you actually have a job in this economy. It doesn't matter. You're hungry and you have places to eat. If you have exhausted the usual haunts and fear one more drive thru will kill you, it is time to grab a burrito. The Tex/Mex answer to Subway, Neato Burrito has become a central Pennsylvanian favorite. It has won numerous awards including Harrisburg Magazine Februa 17 2010 Ten Movies To Watch In 2010 next year. "Alice In Wonderland" March The classic tale adds a bit of a twist. Alice is a teenager who makes a return visit to the strange world of Cheshire cats and smoking caterpillars in order to end the Red Queen's reign of terror. Tim Burton specializes in fantasy, and he's back at it again. Did I mention Johnny Depp teams with the director again as well? I'm convinced Depp can play any role imaginable and his Mad Hatter should be quite fun to watch. "Clash of the Titans" April 2 Sam Worthington had a very big year in 2009, starring in two cash cows, "Terminator Salvation" and the highest grossing movie of all time, "Avatar." Now we'll see if his name can carry a film without the benefit of a franchise's successful history or revolutionary special effects. "Clash of the Titans" itself is mythology fan's dream and a remake of the 1981 movie of the same name. "Date Night" April 9 TV's king and queen of Thursday night comedy pair up for the big screen. Steve Carell and Tina Fey play husband and wife in this Are You Ready to Neato Burrito? Reader's Poll. It is this year's Simply the Best Vegetarian stop. Even the web is buzzing about this Harrisburg favorite. Tripadvisor. corn ranks Neato Burrito 19 of 293 PA restaurants. Clearly, it is a specialty stand with staying power. Dee Sabatino, 22, a communications major at PSH shared her love of the burrito stand. She discovered the place when a high school friend suggested a vegetarian stop. She has been hooked ever since. For a specialty restaurant, it seems Neato Burrito has options for everyone. They have a choice of seven tortillas, three rice options, three bean, baked or cajun chicken, hormone free angus beef, and black bean hummus. Everyday adds still more options to this list. APITAL TIMES action/comedy about a simple date night gone awry. Now, I'm as big a Steve Carell fan as anyone but I have to admit that the plot for this one leaves me a little underwhelmed. Hopefully the leads will carry the movie and make it a success. It won't be "The Office" or "30 Rock" but if the chemistry is there, this could be a very funny film. "Iron Man 2" May 7 This is the can't miss super hero movie of this year. "Iron Man" was a smash hit with both fans and critics in 2008 and it became apparent that it was only a matter of time before a sequel hit theaters. Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow are back to reprise their roles. Add to the mix Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johnansson, and you've got one of the most star studded casts of 2010. The film revolves around its star however, and if Downey Jr. is as good as he was the first time around comic book fans will rejoice again. "Robin Hood" May 14 Ridley Scott directs, Russell Crowe stars as the title character and Cate Blanchett plays the fair Maid Marian. That sounds like a winning combination. There have Everyday offers a choice of three fresh made salsas. Pico de gallo, a mild tomato based salsa; salsa verde, a spicy green, tomatillo blend or five different specials that change for each day of the week. I personally recommend the Jalapeno feta with crumbled feta cheese, lime juice, and jalapenos in sour cream or the Drexel with green and red bell peppers in honey, corn and fresh cilantro. Everyday also offers a specialty burrito. I opt for Wednesday's Roasted Pepper Pesto or Friday's Gringo Authentico. The latter offers chipotle marinated steak with a smoky sweet salsa to match sweet with spice. The chicken lovers may want to try Thursday's fusion, Chick in a Thai. This east-meets-west concoction puts chicken in peanut sauce alongside dirty rice and banana macadamia been plenty of screen renditions of this classic tale and none have been better than 1938's action packed "The Adventures of Robin Hood." I'm not expecting this version to top it either but I am looking forward to seeing what Crowe brings to the iconic role. "Toy Story 3" June 18 Pixar has been on fire the last couple of years with top notch movies like "Ratatouille," "Wall-E," and "Up." Now the company's revisiting it roots. Our favorite group of children's play things is back in "Toy Story 3." Andy is all grown and gone off to college and the future is uncertain for Woody, Buzz and the gang. What really happens to your toys when your use for them has come to an end? "The Twilight Sag= Eclipse" Doesn't it seem like "New Moon" just carne out? For those who saw the second "Twilight" movie and were less than impressed, including yours truly, the third film might be too much to endure so soon. On the other hand, fans of the books couldn't be happier. Either way, the third installment of the saga finds Bella having to choose sides. Team nut salsa The best part, no matter what you order, is you won't pay more than $8 for your burrito. In fact, vegetarian burrito will only set you back $5.50. It is well worth the cash. The Neato website boasts over a pound of food for your order. "Oh, my god, it's fantastic," beamed downtown resident and comedienne Kim Faubel. She and her boyfriend frequent the Second St. location. She recommends the Cowboy Crunch and the Blackened Chicken. To find your own reasons to praise the franchise, the closest one to the campus is in Scottsdale Plaza across from the Harrisburg Mall. So, for food made well that won't break your wallet, be sure to discover why Harrisburg loves Neato Burrito. Edward or team Jacob? There's also that little question of immortality left lingering. "Inception" July 16 The last time a Christopher Nolan film premiered during the summer blockbuster season, "The Dark Knight" took the world by storm. "Inception," Nolan's follow up to that comic book epic, has been extremely shrouded in secrecy. What we know: DiCaprio stars in the film Nolan describes as "a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind." What we don't know: anything else. Very intriguing indeed. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I" November 19 It's the beginning of the end, literally. The final book of the Harry Potter series is being split into two separate films. Not for the money, but for the artistic value, so says Warner Brothers. The Potter movies have been getting darker and darker as the series progresses and with the final battle looming for our hero shaping, there's no telling how dark "Deathly Hallows" may get. The second half is expected out sometime in 2011. Neato Burrito's Facebook page Pictured above is the photograph submitted by Nina Musser which the five burrito contest for the best picture.
