Friday, Nov. 7 was a sunny,
warm, perfect day for soccer
when the Harrisburg men's
soccer team hosted an NEAC
playoff quarterfinal match-up
with SUNY Cobelskill. The
weather couldn't have been any
more cooperative for the Lions.
Too bad the opposition couldn't
be.

The No. 4 PSH squad was mildly
upset 3-0 by the No. 5 Fighting
Tigers, ending the men's season.
"It's really hard to swallow, you

Eli Saenz. "We were higher in the
rankings and we prepared well
for this game. We felt confident.

The game seemed as if it could
go either way until Cobelskill
broke the tie a little more than
midway through the first half.
With a rip from the left side
of the box, the strike cleared

before," Slat stated. "They kept
playing to win instead of playing
not to lose. Give them credit for
From that point on, ball control
was an issue for the Lions. A
few quick strike attacks ending
fruitlessly and a stifling Tiger
defense kept the ball cradled in
the PSH zone. Cobelskill went on
and notch a second goal midway
through the second and add
another goal late to make it 3-0.
With time slipping away, lead
was just too much to overcome
for the young Lions.
