The treasure reports show that SGA holds $27,000 in the restricted accounts, FAA holds $590 and the Unrestricted account holds $5601.17. This is the layout of how the SGA will disperse its funding. Featured herein are certain clubs and events going on around campus. The Black Student Union (BSU), which after a minor dispute received less money than expected, is holding a fashion show in late October. Although no specific date has been set, models will be needed for the upcoming casting calls. The Fencing Club, which is in need of replacement equipment, was only allocated $5OO due to poor representation. This is significantly less than what the club needs to purchase required materials. The Financing Club requested $1,250 for a trip to New York City, but they were only allocated $625. The reasoning behind this decision is that the Financing Club could obtain the rest of the needed money from the Student Activity Fee (SAF). They are also cosponsoring a trip to Washington D.C with the Accounting Club. For this, they requested an additional $650. However, this proposal was ultimately refused due to \ack of necessary information. The Penn State Harrisburg Anime Association (HAA) received $615 for a trip to the Katsucon Anime convention in Washington D.C. Due to its efficient budgeting, the HAA was the only club awarded the full amount it requested. “The treasure reports show that SGA holds $27*000 in the restricted accounts* FAA holds $590 and the Unrestricted account holds $5601.17” International Affairs Association (lAA) received $2OO to fund its international dinner. This is only half of the amount they requested. They need your support to continue this tradition. In addition, the following faculty senate committee needs student members to attend monthly meetings: Enrollment management, Library, Strategic planning and Physical planning. On a final note, Fall Fest will occur the third week of October in downtown Middletown near Karnes. Be sure to attend and show Penn State pride. SGA wants clubs to show up at their Inter-counsel meeting from now on. ASCD was approved $3,307 for a conference in New Orleans for three members and four officers. Canning for Thon will be held Oct. 19, 20 and 21.f0r the first week. SGA allocated $363 for themselves from the unrestricted account. Polo’s reason being is that they can look more uniformed at each of their meetings. Each polo is going for $ll. SGA is allocating $75.00 for food to go toward the DUS Committee forum hoping it will attract students. ICC will be holding a blood drive on Oct. 8 at the community center it will be held all day until 6 p.m. SGA approved $1,416.80 from the restricted accounts so that they can attend their first mandatory CCSG meeting held Sept. 28-30. All participants for the U Day events occurring Oct. 5-6 at University Park on Friday night must be present.
