- cam by MICHAEI GREEN Campus Safety was the first concern at the first Student Government Association (SGA) meeting of the 2003-2004 academic year, after SGA President Lee Cutchall informed the meeting attendees of a reported theft from the Olmsted Building parking lot. In response, Cutchall is going to form a new committee on campus safety, consisting of SGA members,campus police officers, and Residence Life staff. One proposal suggest ed installing cameras that will overlook the parking lot. This mat ter will be discussed further by the new committee at a later Cutchall is also requesting student input and participation on SGA committees in order to help improve Penn State Harrisburg. Anyone interested in contributing to the Student Body is invited to visit the SGA office at E-136 or e-mail lgcloB@psu.edu. SGA is also working on a ten year plan to improve this campus and the quality of life for students. Vice President Anthony Strayer reported on the arrangements for the first meeting of Organization Advisory Board (OAB), which is made up of the presidents of all student organizations on campus. The September 11th Observance was held at the Morrison Gallery in the library and was attended by over 40 people. SGA President Lee Cutchall donated two books to the library on behalf of student government. Reverend Ernestine. Boles and Rabbi Carl Choper each spoke. The ceremony ended with Dr. Felicia Brown-Haywood singing "Let There Be Peace On Earth." FOR THE CApITAI TIMES The Commonwealth Campus Student Government (CCSG) meetings at University Park were held over the weekend, and a report will be presented at the next SGA meeting. In general news, the Penn State Harrisburg Entertainment Committee is holding an organiza tional meeting on Sept. 16 at 12:30 p.m. in E-202 Olmsted. All students interested in on campus activities are encouraged Candidates will be inter viewed by the Election Screening Committee on Sept. 23-24, and campaigning will be held from Sept. 25-29. Clubfest was held on Sept. 10, with the DJ fund ed by SGA. A presentation on eating disorders, "Eaten Alive", will be held on Sept. 23.
