President-elect Stoner said, "The BSU

setting goals for next year."
According to Lawrence, 142 alums
showed interest in the program, while
approximately 20 students applied.
Although the program was initially
geared for juniors, Lawrence commented
that senior students have dominated the

Last semester the organization was
shaken by the disappearance of two statues
from the BCAC.
In spite of this setback, the members
of the organization philosophize that they
may have lost their statues, but their pride
and strength remain intact.
Presently, Donald Holtzman, student
activities coordinator, is working with the

With the new budget cuts chasing after
every Penn State wallet, individual
programs are trying to f - md new sources of
income to supplement any money that's
might not be taken away.
Krishna Dhir, director of the school of
business administration, hopes that he can
save his program by getting grants from
local industries.
"I see this as an opporunity to get my
students 'involved in local businesses,"
Dhir said.
This semester, one such grant already

Dhir said that AMP, Inc. made an

amount involved until more issues are
settled with company officials.
Dhir mentioned only that the grant
involves a new method of accounting.
So far, this one grant will keep
everything running smoothly, Dhir said.
"Our funding is the same as last year.
We are offering fewer sections of some
classes," Dhir said. "But I haven't lost
anybody."
