Anfistas editor.ift.chief Nine respond to survey The results from the alcohol survey that we ran in the last issue of the Capital Times are as follows : Males = 3 Females = 6 Do you feel that the current alcohol policy is fair? Yes = 3 No = 6 Do you feel that undergraduate organizations should be allowed to hold functions that include alcohol if they make sure that they do not serve minors and if there is a faculty advisor present? Yes = 5 No = 4 Do you think that we should be able to hold an over 21 club in the Lion's Den once a month, with alcoholic beverages and a faculty member on hand to check I.D.s? Yes = 5 No = 4 Do you think that drinking is already a big part of the social life on campus and that if it were done in a more controlled setting, such as the ones discribed above, everyone would benefit? Yes = 5 No = 4 What other revisions could you propose? "The initial reason to have a no alcohol policy was to cut down on DWI, grads and profs cannot drive any better than anyone else while under the influence." Allow drinking in the dorms if damages don't increase Transportation and designated drivers Keep them them the same, you don't have to drink or smoke to have a good time at a party. -- compiled by Tara McKinstry =NV
